Ibn Abbas described, Once I was in a condition of itikaaf in the Prophet's Mosque (Medina). Someone in particular came to me and plunked down. I said to him, 'O someone or other, you look pitiful'. He stated, 'Yes obviously, o congenial sibling of the Prophet. Someone or other has his due on me, and by the person who lies in unceasing harmony in the grave (for example Prophet Muhammad), I am not ready to pay the obligation' I stated, 'Should I not converse with him about your obligation?' He stated, 'You can do as such in the event that you like' There upon I put my shoes on and left the mosque. The individual asked him, 'Have you overlooked the state you were in (for example itikaaf)?' I answered, 'Not in any way, yet I have heard rom the person who lies in everlasting harmony in the grave [saying this his eyes got loaded up with tears], stated:
"One who moves to satisfy any need of his sibling, and puts forth attempt for it, will think that its better than itikaaf of ten years; and one who performs itikaaf for one day for the delight of Allah, he will make a separation of three dump among him and the hellfire - and each jettison has a width which lies among East and West, or between the paradise and earth."
